Congratulations, Jeremy!!!

Jeremy M. has been selected to attend the 2008 Truth and Peace Student Leadership Conference! In July 2008, eighty of the best high school student leaders will converge on the campus of Free Will Baptist Bible College to experience the intensity of worship, training, service, and friendships that is Truth and Peace. The 14-day conference will culminate in Charleston, WV, with the National Youth Conference and the Free Will Baptist National Convention. The Truth and Peace experience equips student leaders to make a difference in their school, in their church, and with their youth group. Congratulations, Jeremy, for being selected!

NHS First Priority

Folks in our youth group told me last night that they had circulated the blog address at First Priority yesterday (yeah!), so I thought I would add a post where people could express their questions, thoughts, or comments. What would you like to discuss? What burning questions do you have that you really want to dive into, but have never had the opportunity to ask? Post them here to spark discussion at First Priority!

You've found the new blog!

Welcome! If you are reading this, you have successfully found the brand new Sulphur Springs FWB Youth blog online! Yeaaaa!

I created this blog as a place for us to hang out, fellowship, to get and to give encouragement, and to exchange info about things that are going on. This is meant to be an extension of our youth group away from church. We can't always be together in person, but maybe this will provide a way for us to reach out to one another during the times we are not.

Bookmark the site so you can check it frequently. If you do forget how to get here, you can link to it from the church website or from the Sulphur Springs MySpace group that Kayla created. If you want something a little easier than visiting the site to check for new postings, you can subscribe to the news feed and get updates as they are posted - even though I'm not exactly sure as to how you do this yet... something to do with the Atom link at the bottom of the page. I'll post more when I figure it out.

One last thing - if you have landed here, please post a comment or e-mail me and let me know what you think. I want the blog to be something useful for you. Give me you're opinion if it will or will not be and your suggestions for how we could make it better.
